Well me friends I had a very good April.  Not only is it the month of my birthday! Yay!  I also got engaged!  Double yay!  So I will not lie after making my big comeback to blogging I have been absent due to wedding planning.  The past two months have been a whirlwind of wedding plans and now that I can finally breath.  I wanted to announce to my extended blogging world fam that I am engaged and I could not be happier.  My save the dates have gone out so I am sharing a photo that I used in my card.  The chalkboard in the photo was a DIY project and I wish I would have taken photos to give a step-by-step tutorial on how to create it but I'll give a talk through because you all are smart and I know you can handle a project like this ;)  and then keep reading because I am giving away a special something at the end!

So this is a close up of the chalkboard painting picture.  My mom found this awesome frame at her shop for a great price.  It was $25.00 for a 25x36 frame (I believe that's the size, whatever size it is it's HUGE) which is a great price for that size frame.  I suggest looking at flea markets, antique stores, garage sales and resale shops for your frame because there is no reason to pay full price for the frame.  First measure for your plywood, now measure the glass not the frame because you are placing it inside the frame.  Pull everything out of the frame and then go pick up your plywood that is either pre-cut or that you will cut and your chalkboard paint you will need about a pint depending on the size and a paint roller.  So next just paint your plywood I did two coats one right after the other. I then let the paint dry overnight in my garage.  To write my quote I used actual chalk instead of the chalk marker because the marker did not want to erase off my test spot.  I also used a ruler to keep my lines straight since I tend to write at a slant (I could use some of that nice grade school lined paper in adulthood).  Last put your plywood into the frame and we just stapled it back in with the original paper that was on the backing!  See I told you it was easy!

Now for the good stuff.  The giveaway!  So what bride wants dry lips?  Well not this one that's for sure.  The other day I was out and about and saw this cute eos lip balm and I could not resist so I picked it up.  And because they were just that adorable I picked up two one for me and one to give to one of my friends!  So there are four ways to enter to win these cuties!  I just love the eos brand especially the lip balms they are so super moisturizing and perfect for my purse and on my night stand.  So good luck in the contest and as always Happy Treats!
*I am in no way affiliated with eos and I bought these little lip balms with my own hard earned dollars!  This is not a sponsored post.

My most favorite wedding memory was at the reception. All of my closest nd most favorite people around me, dancing the night away, celebrating my husband and i. And the next morning everyone asking if we could do the party all over again! Haha

My favorite memory from my wedding is when me and the wedding party got pictures taken in the old time classic cars.

My favorite wedding memory was walking down the aisle with my boyfriend as a bridesmaid knowing that one day we would walk down the aisle as bride and groom.
